Amisha began in 2016 as a pop-up shop in the SoWa Arts District of Boston, selling a hand-picked selection of artisan-made goods from Jaipur, India.  The success of the shop inspired founder Michelle Silvi to launch a small line of textiles under the Amisha label.

Each Amisha style is hand-block printed and made in small batches by artisans in Jaipur, India. Jaipur is home to a centuries old culture of traditional block printing and natural dying.  It's truly an amazing and beautiful city!  

In addition to working directly with the artisans to keep the indigenous craft of block printing alive, we are advocates of slow + sustainable fashion as well as reducing waste through small-batch production.  

Through Amisha our goal is to offer small collections of unique handmade pieces, fusing the ancient craft of block printing with a modern aesthetic.
